The clever use of diagonal segmentation visually reduces the bulkiness of the device.
The integrated handle design - the grey surrounding edge, makes the instrument design more concise, while at the same time saving additional components and reducing costs in tool manufacturing, production and assembly.

The reagent lid handle is one of the most commonly used components on the machine.
By building models and prototypes, the most ergonomic handle could be selected.

The transparent cover handle on the front of the
instrument also underwent various shape studies.
Ultimately, an integrated mold solution was chosen.
Once again, assembly costs were saved here.
In close cooperation with the client, yimumu discussed the
distribution of the numerous doors and flaps.
The design with the easiest maintenance was selected.
Details
The shiny diagonal stripes on the anthracite-colored panel
visually minimize the size of the surface.
The observation window allows the laboratory staff to monitor the status of consumables.
However, since the interior is dimly lit, the use of a lamp would increase costs.
To solve this problem, yimumu replaced the top cover with transparent acrylic materi-
al, subtly allowing natural light into the device.
The size of the ventilation holes gradually decreases from bottom to top,
continuing Zybio's consistent design language.
Design with Clever Details
The design of the status, indicator lights, and user
icons for the control buttons went through an
intensive design process to make the instrument
as intuitive to use as possible.
